3. What is a bias free approach and what are some examples of it?
“A bias-free approach is one that respects all people and groups, and reflects the human rights principles described in the following pages. A bias free approach can include: respecting a person’s diversity, making sure that every person is treated fairly and receives proper care based on their strengths and needs and that we take into account the root causes of a student’s behaviour” (Ministry of Education, 2013).
