The Classroom

Teachers and students,
nervous to start,
welcoming all,
the days begin;
listening.
Students are sharing,
caring and wearing,
smiles, big eyes and frowns.
Once nervous and shy,
as time passes by,
the room becomes alive.
Silence no longer,
replaced with curiosity,
teachers facilitating,
students reflecting and challenging.
Tests, projects and assignments-
fade away, secondary, in the background.
Stress traded for mindfulness,
breathing awareness, togetherness,
-a safe space-
created.
Who are the students?
Who is the teacher?
Let’s strip back the labels,
let’s grow together,
-discovering, inspiring and creating,
-collectively.
We are on a journey,
where caring is the key.
Let’s discover, uncover and design,
beautiful moments in time.
We are the ever-evolving,
constantly growing,
classroom.
